First Capital Connect announce Book Club

First Capital Connect is pleased to announce the launch of a new Book Club initiative featuring titles from some of the UK‟s leading publishers.

The rail operator, which provides travel for some 150,000 commuters into the capital per day, is playing their part to beat the credit crunch by offering customers a chance to sample books from a diverse range of authors free of charge.

To kick-start the campaign this March, the first title will be from none other than #1 Best-selling US suspense writer Jonathan Kellerman. The Edgar Award winning author has penned over 20 chart-topping crime novels in the past 25 years and his latest standout title Evidence will provide a great platform upon which to launch the FCC book club

Each month, a new book will be featured with exclusive offers to commuters across the FCC network. Sample chapters of the Book of the Month will be made available for download and distributed at key stations, while customers will have the opportunity to win free books, great competition prizes and find discounts on selected titles.

FCC feels that the scheme will provide a great opportunity for commuters to experience titles that they otherwise may not have had the chance to read as well as brighten their journey.

Julie Ryan, Marketing Relationship Manager for First Capital Connect commented “We are working hard to improve our service for our customers and whilst this is an ongoing process we also wanted to give them something else to make their commute more interesting and give them exclusive offers and prizes. mostra came up with this great idea of a Book Club and we hope our customers find it interesting.”
