The Wick Hackney has become a vibrant hub for all football lovers and East Londoners alike during the World Cup festivities.

This weekend marks the end of the tournament and we fully intend to celebrate in style. Expect the unexpected at this Free Event. Do you think Germany can Romp home to victory after their demolition of Brazil in the Semi-Finals? Watch the final on the biggest screen in East London (at a whopping 8 metres!) there really is no better place to watch the result unfold.

The Sunday festivities kick off at 2pm with a day filled with activities, music and fun for all ages. There will be competitions all day at The Wick’s 5-a-side footie pitches: – Crossbar Challenge – Beat The Goalie – 5-A-Side Matches Do you think your skills could rival Neymar? Would you have stopping the appalling defeat that Brazil suffered? Come and have a go…

Lots of food at The Wick, from the gourmet food stalls: Sugar Shack by Andi Oliver, Jerk Chicken and BBQ by Cre8 Centre, Ice Creams

Entertainment: Live Music Acts Field Of Dreams DJ’s (Mick Clark and Adrian Jae) Piff Gang (DJ Motive) Other entertainment throughout the day and secret surprise guests

Random Chapter are fully inclusive events organisation, who take pride in the ability to transform derelict spaces into cultural hotspots. Founded by Garfield Hackett (Mutate Britain, Cordy House, Shangri La/Trash City at Glastonbury), they have taken over the Cre8 Community Centre and transformed into a cultural playground for Londoners to worship the beautiful game whilst drinking cocktails, eating gourmet food, enjoying cutting edge street art and keeping the kids entertained!
