About Pro B Tech Records

Pro B Tech Records is an independent dance music label based in Scotland. Named after three genres (Progressive, Breaks and Techno / Tech House) it is headed up by former DJ and self-confessed Jean Michel Jarre fan Brent Lawson.

Since it began in 2012, Pro B Tech has released a steady stream of deep quality tunes, from the likes of acclaimed heavyweights TILT (Their track with Kastis Torrau & Arnas D, ‘Kiss Magnetic’ currently gaining major DJ and dancefloor support) and Paul Nolan to more niche grooves such as Underground Allstars’ ‘She Rises in the East’.

Sister label B Tech Noir sits alongside to showcase the best new deep house talent and with Mick Park now taking the helm of A&R, the label is looking to sign and develop artists as well as release killer tracks.

With Brent’s musical influences deep rooted in Brothers In Rhythm, Sasha & Digweed (Renaissance , Northern Exposure) and Mick’s background in trance and the early rave scene the label is keen not to pigeon hole itself into one specific genre. ‘I think the days of listening to a tune and saying ‘yep that’s a such & such track on a specific label’ are gone, you need to stay fresh and keep moving with the times,’ explains Brent.

Pro B Tech look to round off the Summer of 2013 with a monumental EP from Dave Seaman & John OO Fleming’s – “Unexpected Item In The Packing Area”, with remixes from Dubspeeka, Hernan Cattaneo & Martin Garcia. This one has notched up over 6000 Soundcloud plays in the first week of promo.

Before the year end look out for a Double-A from TILT, another big package from the Underground All-Stars, and there’s a Best Of compilation in the pipeline too.
