The Dragor Dream Dancers are the new Saints rugby mascots!

Freestyle Disco is taking the UK by storm…

Remember the Twist and Pulse chaps? Or the Baby Mezzos who charmed Ant and Dec on BGT?

Maybe you caught some of the C4 series ‘Strictly Baby Disco’?

In short, kids up and down the country are getting their glitter on and shaking a tail feather in the name of dance.

Leading lady behind freestyle disco is choreographer Juliet Short, who has teamed up with kids’ author Julia Suzuki to create a nationwide search for the glitteriest, snazziest, downright disco diva-est dancer – and the Dragor Dream Dancer contest was born.

It is currently at regional heat stage, but so far thousands of would-be-DDD’s have given it their all (did we mention there’s a prize worth 5 grand?) – if you fancy a go the next heats are in Glasgow, Royston and Stratford upon Avon.

Now, we always thought rugby players were burly types, but it seems the chaps at St Helen’s RLFC have been charmed by the Dream Dancer phenomenon too – as sooner than you can say Snazzballs and spring a cartwheel – they’ve enlisted a troupe of contestants to brighten up their home game half time on May 4th (against the Wakefield Wildcats)

The game is on Sky too, so you’ll be able to get a widescreen view of this…

Followed by a lil bit of this…

Hell yeah, why not… ?
