The Voodoos are an unsigned rock band from Cork, Ireland and last night they performed live at the MTV EMAs – on the same stage as Snow Patrol, Jason Derulo and The Red Hot Chili Peppers – thanks to Hyundai Veloster.
The Voodoos won a battle of the bands contest organised by Hyundai
Veloster (the official wheels of the EMAs) – beating over 450 other European acts for the chance to open the show.
Not only did the band get to grace the stage in front of the World’s music fans, but they also experienced the VIP lifestyle for the weekend: staying in a Belfast hotel, having a 5 star
dinner, shopping trip with a stylist, makeover and photoshoot.
Mark, the lead singer of the Voodoos said today ‘,we all have sore heads today but it was fantastic! Hyundai gave us an amazing opportunity and we were honoured to be at the EMAs – the performance was incredible and we will never forget the night…’
Hyundai’s European CEO Mark Hall added ‘,I am delighted the Voodoos won. I think they have a polished sound and the fact they have been together for a while shows they have a confidence about performing live. They made Hyundai proud as they
performed live at the MTV awards…’
