“…NMTS are the kind of band who will make you glad to be alive. Infectious rhythms and intricate melodies. Never mind the hype get on board now…” amazon.co.uk
On the back of some well deserved hype in their adopted homeland of Holland, Never Mind the Stars are set to take on the UK in 2011 with the release of the first single “Young Love (Its Like)” from their debut album “Aeroplane”.
The band have a prestigious background in the Netherlands. NMTS have collaborated with the likes of Candy Dulfer & Lois Lane and Van Velzen. Having been tipped as one to watch by Dutch National radio station 3FM and then achieving the station’s Serious Talent Award.
NMTS combine indie sensibilities with the most sweetly affecting electro pop production. Citing Lindstrom, Kid Creole, Daft Punk, Ultravox and Hot Chip as influences, the lyrics are compelling and the quirky sound scapes they create are a treat for the ears. Aeroplane combines all the finest qualities of the band into one electro pop extravaganza.
Having conquered the scene in Amsterdam, NMTS are champing at the bit to get stuck into their home turf of England.
New single “Young Love” follows hot on the heels of previous singles “Holiday” and “We Don’t Care About The Music” all released on NMTS frontman Simon Little’s record label strfckr records.
